Bristol Railway Circle member Warren Marsh instigated
the commissioning of a Blue Plaque to commemorate the site of the Avonside Engine Company's works and predecessors
who built nearly 1500 railway locomotives on the site between 1841 and 1904 when the company relocated its works to Fishponds
in north east Bristol.
